Everything We Know About Kendall Jenner’s Country Home

When we say “Kardashian,” you say…chintz? Not yet, but the two are about to become synonymous as the second-youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Kendall, is hard at work on a new-build country getaway that includes micro-florals, plaids, checks, and a healthy dose of tile. While the home isn’t completed, the 29-year-old model has shared snippets of the creative process on Instagram. Here’s everything we know about the project.

She’s working with interior designer Heidi Caillier.

The living room of a Heidi Caillier project features custom cabinetry and vintage armchairs from BDDW.

Caillier is known for her casual, collected approach to interiors, as evidenced by projects in Bedford, New York, and Fox Island. The Seattle-based designer is no stranger to injecting a new build with personality and pedigree, infusing homes with color and pattern in a studied, thoughtful manner. Hallmarks of her projects include a mix of patterns at different scales through textiles and wall coverings, natural and dark wood tones, and a focus on functionality and lifestyle-sensitive layouts.

The living room of this Heidi Caillier project features two sofas by Nickey Kehoe, one of which is in a floral patterned fabric similar to that seen in Jenner’s home, which also features exposed wood beams.

There are plaids, checks and florals.

A far cry from Kim’s famously minimal Calabasas mansion, Jenner is leaning into a more colorful look with checks and floral patterns, making the home’s aesthetic less modern farmhouse and more rich ranch-meets-fisherman core. Say that three times fast! House Beautiful reported that tile is used extensively throughout the home’s three bathrooms as are paint, fabrics, and wall coverings. Country Living shared photos of an inset wardrobe in a bedroom that features curtain panels matched to the room’s wallpaper, while built-in bunk beds in a guest room sport curtain panels in contrasting floral patterns and beds topped with quilts.

There’s a butter yellow toilet.

In a move that has divided social media, Jenner has embraced the butter yellow trend with a very vintage-looking toilet in one bathroom. And there are other unexpected color choices as well: a blue Lacanche stove, a lime green-tiled bathroom, and, in perhaps the most modern farmhouse move of them all, a deep slate gray exterior.

Jenner’s pivot to pattern and may prove that we’re really ushering in a new era of maximalism.
