Your Opportunity
Ohana Design & Build is looking for a detail-oriented, multitasking Interior Design Project Manager to join our Design Services Team as we continue to expand our presence and portfolio in Park City, UT. The right candidate for the job loves an exciting, project-based environment, and thrives on variety. The Interior Design Project Manager must be able to effectively manage assigned tasks and projects through to completion, function independently in a dynamic small office environment and on construction sites, and work collaboratively with remote teammates across different office locations.
In this role, you will be aiding the Assistant Design Manager with managing multiple interior design tasks and projects on a daily basis. A knack for organization, attention to detail, problem-solving and effective communication is a must. The right candidate is enthusiastic about interior design, capable of efficiently working on both assigned and self-directed tasks to bring projects to successful completion, and is eager to learn. You should be fluent in Autodesk AutoCAD or Revit, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, and Adobe Photoshop or InDesign.
An associate or bachelor’s degree in interior design or a related field is preferred, but industry experience alone will be considered. At least one year of experience in a design assistant or project manager level role is required. This position will report to the Assistant Design Manager. Candidate must live near or be willing to relocate to the Park City, UT area.
Key Responsibilities
In the role of Interior Design Project Manager, specifically you will:
· Use Studio Designer software to enter and verify all project data with a focus on FFE including specifications, pricing, and vendor details
· Analyze, guide and confirm space planning; create and modify furniture floorplans and interior elevations in AutoCAD or Revit
· Create and modify PowerPoint presentations, utilizing Photoshop and/or InDesign
· Use Microsoft Excel to generate and update all project schedules
· Assist with setting overall project plan as it relates to supplier collaboration, work schedules and installation
· Monitor status of FFE purchase orders, proposals, and overall project budgets
· Attend client presentations , take notes and execute follow-up items, prepare and distribute required updates to project workplan
· Conduct site visits to identify areas that need verification and coordinate actual FFE dimensions with final plan, confirm FFE and finish details, meet with vendors, etc.
· Manage budget preparation to include quoting, pricing, negotiation, data entry and proposal generation for all FFE
· Order and organize project and library samples, prepare visual support materials
· Document all aspects of design process and file data according to departmental standards
· Assist with project installations, generate punch list report and follow up to solve all issues
Qualifications and Traits
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in interior design or a related field preferred
· At least one year of relevant project management experience required
· Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit
· Graphics skills; proficiency in InDesign or Photoshop
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
· Ability to effectively meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
· Proven organizational and follow-through skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills, and enjoys being part of the team
· Ability to understand and execute directives in a clear, concise and timely manner
· Ability to break down processes into simple manageable tasks
· Ability to remain focused to self-direct day to day tasks to achieve departmental goals
Compensation
Salary dependent on experience. Benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, employer-paid holiday and vacation days, 401k matching, discretionary bonus.
