Brokerage giant Compass has formed a new alliance with Chapter, a Manhattan-based design-build firm, to offer its clients a full suite of home renovation services.
The collaboration aims to integrate renovation planning directly into the home sales process, allowing Compass agents to provide home sellers and buyers with Chapter’s remodeling capabilities in New York, Florida, Connecticut and New Jersey, according to a company statement.
Compass real estate agents can now offer free renovation consultations, estimates and floor plans for qualified listings, renderings to illustrate the finished product and a 5 percent discount on Chapter’s renovation work.
“Home sales and renovation have historically operated individually, and this collaboration eliminates that divide,” Eli Moyal, COO and founder of Chapter, said in the statement. “Compass agents now have Chapter by their side from the moment a listing is signed, with transparent estimates, clear timelines, and visual tools that remove guesswork, which allows design plans to move forward confidently.”
The new collaboration helps integrate renovation planning directly into the home sales process for those sellers who want it, allowing listings to be packaged with direct access to actionable remodeling plans.
“At Compass, we’re constantly looking for innovative ways to add value for our agents and their clients,” Gordon Golub, regional vice president at Compass, said in the statement. “By integrating renovation solutions directly into the workflow, we’re making it easier for agents to help their clients sell their homes faster by allowing buyers and sellers to see the full potential of a property.”
At the onset of Compass’s engagement, Chapter representatives schedule a property walkthrough alongside the agent to make recommendations and assess any potential renovation requests. Chapter’s team then provides a proposal, and once a deal is closed, they handle all aspects of the renovation project.
“This alliance opens up incredible opportunities to redefine real estate transactions by combining Compass’s market-leading agent network with our end-to-end renovation expertise,” Ari Salehi, director of Business Development at Chapter, said in the statement. “Agents having the ability to present properties not just as they are, but as they could be, with clarity, speed, and precision, is a powerful proposition in today’s dynamic market.”
Chapter utilizes a proprietary AI-driven renovation platform that handles communication, real-time project tracking, and provides interactive design tools. All of Chapter’s services are in-house, including interior designers, architects, engineers and project managers who oversee renovations from start to finish.
